The purpose of the Project is to set the basis of the conceptual integration of Artificial Intelligence, Game Theory, and Decision Theory. The objectives concern the development of new concepts towards unifying these fields and enhancing our understanding of conscious behavior and interaction. The project attempts to provide tools that will enable scientists and practitioners in behavioral sciences to surpass field insularity, idiosyncrasies and incompatibilities. The main activities of the project are: (1) design and validation of AI computational methods for detecting game equilibria, (2) Enlarging the concept of game equilibrium, (3) Designing a new approach in multicriteria optimization with strategic interactions. The outputs will be mainly conceptual, computational, and experimental models and algorithms. The project will make a difference in understanding the complexity of strategic interactions. The main innovative approach is transferring AI concepts between Computational Game Theory and behavioral sciences - thus initiating a conceptual integration of the three. The project activities are inspired by our observation on what the difficulties of AI may teach us. They come from neglecting the role of inspiration, emotions, human interactions, believes and creativity. The new vision of Artificial Intelligence - integrating strategic interactions, meta-rationality, emergent phenomena and solutions - may allow a deeper understanding of human consciousness and mind. It opens the way for building a new generation of intelligent multi-agent systems, characterized by several types of rationality, emotions and quantum entanglement.
