The project will use a unique interdisciplinary approach, called the 'Krakow method,' to investigate the limits -- or to delineate the frontiers -- of science's ability to provide an explanation for reality. This initiative will undertake scholarly research in three main areas: 1) physics and cosmology; 2) philosophy and theology, particularly Roman Catholic theology; and 3) mind and normativity, examining questions of evolution and the emergence of the normative mind. The project will also engage in educational efforts, both academic and popular, and work toward making the Copernicus Center a self-sustaining hub of innovative research for its region, and within the broader Catholic world.
