Our project explores how recent breakthroughs in science are redefining the boundaries between life and death. We ask: What does it mean to live and die? How long can life be restored after the heart stops? What happens in the newly discovered frontier - the third space - between life and permanent cellular death of the body? What do recalled experiences surrounding death reveal about human consciousness? What are the implications for philosophical and theological perspectives on death?
We are seeking development funds for the creation of content, storyboarding, film treatment, script, sizzlers, securing a production partner/director and detailed marketing and distribution plans for a premium docuseries. This work is needed to translate complex scientific advances into accessible, engaging public knowledge.
We will deliver: 1) Screenplay Treatment – A detail of the entire series, including script, using interviews and research through 2) Pre-Production & Development activities - day-to-day producing, scheduling, research coordination, and all other prep work as well as final 3) short illustrative films at key points in the film/episodes to illustrate the style of the final film.
The long-term impact is a transformative cultural shift in how life, death, and human consciousness are understood across disciplines and communities.
