Conversations on Faith: Interviews with World Leading Theologians and Philosophers, Writers and Public Intellectuals

This project will be in-depth conversations, published in the New York Times, with world-leading faith figures. Out of it will emerge, over three years, 15-18 interviews, each up to 7,000 words in length and read by millions, including those who are religious and non-religious. The series of interviews will deepen people’s curiosity in and knowledge about faith, in ways that inspire awe and renewed purpose. It will generate conversations in families and places of worship, educational institutions and religious gatherings. There’s nothing else quite like this series being done today. In a deeply polarized world these conversations, with people of diverse faith views, will create human connections. People will also find that the words and wisdom that emerge from these interviews will be sources of comfort – for example, how the philosopher Nicholas Wolterstorff dealt with the death of his son and how his faith changed because of it.
