Humility
The theme of humility has been a core aspect of John Templeton's philanthropic vision since he established his Foundation. Indeed, the motto of his Foundation ("How little we know, how eager to learn") helps to define our Foundation's "Humble Approach Initiative." Currently, the Foundation has supported one study that examines the virtue of humility within the field of psychological science. The Foundation welcomes proposals that examine the virtue of epistemic modesty within the fields of science, philosophical theology and related academic domains.
