The work of F. A. Hayek has long posed puzzles to those trying to make sense of it. There is a monetary-policy component, an epistemological component, and a political-philosophy component; the three pieces do not necessarily fit together. The goal of this project is to publish a special issue of 'Critical Review' that attempts to untangle the three threads and evaluate each of them. It will present papers by both well-established and up-and-coming scholars. The issue should catalyze new scholarship that grapples with Hayek's more cogent arguments, even if some of his other claims do not survive scrutiny.
