This request is for a three-year grant to help fund the Annual MOVIEGUIDE® Faith & Values Awards Gala and Report to the Entertainment Industry featuring the $100,000 Epiphany Prizes for Inspiring Movies & TV, the $50,000 Kairos Prizes for Spiritually Uplifting Screenplays by First-Time and Beginning Screenwriters, and the new $50,000 Chronos Prize for Spiritually Uplifting Screenplays by Established Screenwriters (inspired by conversations with Dr. Jack Templeton), scheduled for February 2014, 2015 and 2016 in Los Angeles. The next event is already scheduled for Feb. 5, 2014 at the Universal Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. The purpose is to encourage entertainment industry leaders to make more moral, spiritually uplifting movies and television programs by demonstrating such movies and programs increase business and benefit society. The event and prizes are targeted at the top entertainment industry leaders who can approve the production/distribution of movies and television programs and thus imprint their interpretation of morality and spirituality onto the global society. Through our telecast of and continuing PR efforts for the Gala, including the Epiphany, Kairos, and Chronos Prizes, and our other related activities, including year round meetings with entertainment industry leaders and year round lectures, panel discussions, seminars, workshops and classes, the project will also reach millions of entertainment consumers around the world, especially families with children and grandchildren. In addition to the event, its telecasts, and multiple press releases, the project will include strategic outputs and outcomes designed to redeem the values of the entertainment industry and thereby positively transform the culture. As such, it will include an outreach program in the United States as well as overseas. We are already established in Germany, Japan, the UK, and Australia, but are expanding to Russia, India, South Korea, and other places to be named later.
