Earl Whipple leads communications, branding, and public affairs engagement for the John Templeton Foundation.
A global communications and public affairs professional, Mr. Whipple has led corporate communications, public affairs, and stakeholder outreach for two Fortune 100 companies, three Members of Congress, and an executive department of the U.S. government. Before joining the Foundation, Mr. Whipple held leading communications and public affairs roles at AstraZeneca and Merck. He is also a former management consultant specializing in communications for IBM Global Services and a chief of staff, legislative director, and spokesperson in the United States House of Representatives.
He holds an M.B.A. from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a B.A. from Dickinson College. He is president and member of the board of directors for the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philadelphia area chapter.
