Craig Joseph is Director of the Character Development program at the John Templeton Foundation. He is responsible for creating initiatives that promote social science research on character, virtues, and their development, as well as efforts that support the development of innovative character development programs and interventions.
Craig has a Ph.D. from the Committee on Human Development at the University of Chicago. His primary research interests are virtue theory, character development, and developmental science. He has conducted both qualitative and survey research on American Muslim communities and Islamic schools, and has published book chapters and journal articles on moral psychology, emotions, and political psychology.
