Christopher Stawski

Christopher Stawski is Director for Strategic Program Initiatives at the John Templeton Foundation, where he creates and manages new grant programs for the Foundation on a global scale. He previously served as Program Officer for Human Sciences at the Foundation for five years before taking on his current role. Prior to joining the Foundation, he was Project Manager at the Metanexus Institute, where he managed the Spiritual Transformation Scientific Research Program, the Spiritual Capital Research Program, and the Templeton Advanced Research Program. Mr. Stawski received a B.A. with high honors from Swarthmore College in religion and political science and an M.T.S. from Harvard Divinity School, where he focused in modern religious thought and religion and conflict studies. He is currently a doctoral candidate in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in methodological issues at the intersection of humanistic and social scientific approaches to the study of religion.
