Program Officer, Character Development

Reporting to the Vice President for Character Development, the Program Officer is responsible for managing the full life cycle of the grant process within the area of Character Development. The Program Officer coordinates the daily activities of the Foundation’s grant-making within this program area, including supporting the development of new funding initiatives, communicating with applicants and grantees, and helping to lead the assessment of grant outcomes and impact.

The Program Officer coordinates the daily activities of the Foundation’s grant-making within this program area, including supporting the development of new funding initiatives, communicating with applicants and grantees, and helping to lead the assessment of grant outcomes and impact.

The optimal candidate for this role is a highly organized person with superior writing skills and significant knowledge in the study of character development. The candidate has at least five plus years of experience within an academic or foundation setting. Master’s Degree is required in related area; Ph.D. is preferred.

It is essential for the candidate to have the ability to understand the Foundation’s mission as well as the funding priorities within the area of Character Development; a strong interest in our core funding areas is also vital.
