Description

This four-year grant will launch a research competition to help establish a field of positive neuroscience. Building on the success of Martin E.P. Seligman’s pioneering work in positive psychology, the program seeks to encourage and disseminate research aimed at understanding how the brain enables character strengths and positive emotion. In addition to the awards competition, the program will create a world-class website, convene research retreats to build a network of scientists in the field, and publish a scholarly anthology of research aimed at catalyzing the emerging field of positive neuroscience.
