In many cases, this is the single most important section of your proposal. We invite you to read the relevant section of our website before preparing your budget and cost effectiveness statement. We define "cost effectiveness" as impact relative to the resources invested. We aim to be a philanthropic investor by encouraging our grantees to think of themselves as entrepreneurs in the realm of ideas. We are interested to know how you will try to maximize the impact of your project relative to the resources committed and how this project might inspire key participants, even other funders, to join or extend this effort (in one or more ways). Finally, we encourage you to tell us how preparing this Cost Effectiveness Statement impacted your thinking and strategy for this project.
