Entrepreneurship

Throughout his career, John Templeton has always expressed appreciation for the spirit and benefits of entrepreneurship. The Foundation is currently developing a range of philanthropic initiatives to catalyze research on several "big questions" related to the theme of entrepreneurship, including: What are the most significant qualities of a successful entrepreneur? Can entrepreneurship be taught? And perhaps most critically, might entrepreneurs and support for the entrepreneurial spirit serve as the harbingers of sustainable solutions to poverty?

This grant supported the production of a 60-minute PBS special focusing on programs teaching business, the free-market, and entrepreneurship to at-risk youth and the businesses created by those students.
