The discussion takes the opportunity to focus on developing ways to advance rigorous interdisciplinary scholarship, innovative university teaching, and high quality public education focused on cosmology and a range of “big questions” and philosophical topics associated with insights, debates, and research agendas emerging from the field. Opening remarks will be made by Royal Society President Lord Martin Rees. These will be followed by a presentation of viewpoints and suggestions from a group of distinguished panelists. Responses will be offered by the 2008 Templeton Prize laureate Michael Heller, followed by an open discussion with the audience.
