John C. Witcoski
Director of Information Technology
John Witcoski is the John Templeton Foundation's Director of Information Technology. As the head of the Information Technology department, he is responsible for guiding the Foundation through the implementation of new technology initiatives, integrating technology across the organization, and providing a world-class technology infrastructure.
Before joining the Foundation, John spent five years as Director of Information Technology at the Metanexus Institute. The Metanexus Institute is a global interdisciplinary think thank whose mission is to promote the constructive engagement of science, religion, and the humanities. At Metanexus, John was responsible for the successful development of two online publications, Metanexus Online and The Global Spiral, in addition to the deployment of numerous internal technology initiatives.
Prior to joining Metanexus, John spent 10 years with Verizon Communications helping to develop, deploy, and maintain a global information technology infrastructure for one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world.
John is a lifelong Philadelphia-area resident. He graduated from Lafayette College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and holds a Masters of Business Administration from Drexel University. John lives in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, with his wife and two children.
